Like all Livery Companies, the Worshipful Company of Constructors is required to be compliant with all applicable Covid-19 regulations. As such, now that England will be in Lock-down until at least December 2020, there will be no real life events until such time as the regulations are either relaxed or removed. However, our growing programme of virtual events will continue, and details of these events can be found on the website.
Members should therefore note that the Company Carol Service and the Reception afterwards, has been cancelled. However, the Master and Wardens would very much like members to participate in the planned city-wide virtual Carol Service, which is being organised by the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and will take place at 5.30pm on 8 December.
We are now hoping to hold another of our informal lunches at Ironmongers’ Hall on 7 December, but that will depend on whatever regulations the government impose following Lockdown 2, and it may be that we will have to cancel the lunch at short notice if the regulations that are imposed are stricter than Tier-2.
The latest victims of the pandemic are now the Inter-Livery Pancake Race 2021 and the United Guilds Service 2021. Both of these events have been cancelled because of the uncertainties surrounding the ongoing pandemic regulations.
