Like all Livery Companies, the Worshipful Company of Constructors is required to be compliant with all applicable Covid-19 regulations.  As such, now that much of England is in Lockdown 3, there will be no real life events until such time as the regulations are either relaxed or removed.  However, our growing programme of virtual events will continue, and details of these events can be found on the website.

The latest victims of the pandemic are the Inter-Livery Pancake Race 2021, the United Guilds Service 2021 and now our next informal lunch at Ironmongers’ Hall.   The Inter-Livery Pancake Race has been cancelled because of the uncertainties surrounding the ongoing pandemic regulations and the lead time necessary to organise the event.  The United Guilds Service has now been deferred to Friday 21 May 2021.

Unfortunately the pandemic continues to wreak havoc with our programme of real life events – The PM & Wardens lunch has been deferred and many other important events are subject to change once the on-going regulations relating to the pandemic after Lockdown 3 are  known.  Where possible the dates of possible events will be re-arranged for later in the year but it is probably inevitable that some events will eventually either be cancelled, or perhaps be deferred until 2022.  The Company is keeping a close watch on what can be done safely, and will revert back to “normal” slowly, and in an organised fashion, perhaps mixing virtual and real attendance at some Company meetings for the foreseeable future.
