The City of London Post Covid-19
The Clerk has received the following from the Lord Mayor’s Office:
“The Lord Mayor is looking to host a small virtual roundtable on 20th November from 2-3pm on the future of the property sector in the City of London – especially in the context of the impact of Covid-19 on desire for commercial space in the Square Mile. As well as inviting representatives from the City’s livery companies with a connection, such as yourselves, he will also be looking to invite representatives from a few professional bodies – eg: Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.”
The focus will be on what steps the City of London Corporation can take, both as a local authority and as a representative body, to understand the issues facing the property and construction sectors, both during the pandemic and in the recovery.
The Master will be taking part, and would appreciate it if any members who have any views on the subject would contact him well before 20th November.
