Gavin and Sam will explain the principles of offsetting\, how the good schemes work in practice\, as well as drawing attention to the pitfalls and the less responsible schemes that we may have heard about. e.g. Can we really absolve our consciences for our emissions simply by paying someone to plant trees\, indefinitely? Or is there far more to offsetting than tree planting? It will be presented in a Livery context and address the real issues faced by Companies as they tackle the issues of Climate Change and help them decide whether responsible offsetting could be part of their approach. \n\nPlease register on Eventbrite.\n\n
