DESCRIPTION:Marilyn Greene: Between Two Bars: Art & Architecture\n\n\n\nWe will survey the great variety of architectural styles dating from the 17th century onwards within the Fleet Street Conservation area.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event \n\n\nWalking from the Temple Bar monument\, site of the original Temple Bar entrance into the City\, we will survey the great variety of architectural styles dating from the 17th century onwards within the Fleet Street Conservation area. Many of the buildings also have the additional interest of signs\, reliefs and sculptures which add to their stories. Exploring some of the alleys and courts we will continue up Ludgate Hill\, pass St Paul’s Cathedral and complete our walk at Sir Christopher Wren’s re-located site for the original Temple Bar Monument at the entrance to Paternoster Square. \n\n\n\n\n  \n
