Company Golf Day
On the afternoon of 19th July, under the auspices of PM Alan Longhurst, 9 members of the Company and their guests joined with the Master and Mistress and assembled at Croham Hurst Golf Club, near Croydon, for the annual Company sporting challenge and Summer Evening meal. The weather was splendid, if a little hot out on the course and those who played golf reported the course to be in excellent condition, despite the long dry summer. 3 other people joined the golfers for the evening meal, which was attended by 21 people and was splendidly arranged by the Croham Hurst Golf Club staff.
The golfing competition was, as usual, split into two pats.
Members played for the Ken Brown Trophy, and this year the winner was Melville Dunbar.
Guests played for the AET Bowl, and this year the winner was Richard Oakes.
The Master was also presented with a framed print of the West Front of Bath Abbey as a memento of his Master’s Weekend in Bath.
