From 3rd to 28th October an exhibition titled ‘Faith in the City of London’ will be on display in Paternoster Square. The exhibition will feature photographs taken by Niki Gorick depicting the day to day workings of places of faith in the Square Mile. The exhibition reveals a diverse spiritual life spanning many different faiths.
To mark the exhibition’s launch, the City Corporation is hosting a virtual event including a short film of the artist discussing key images and a live panel discussion. The discussion will explore the experience of different faiths throughout Covid-19, and their thoughts on faith in the City as we enter the next phase of the pandemic.
Niki Gorick is a British fine art photographer specialising in black and white images of London and was Artist-in-Residence at the Guildhall Art Gallery from 2013 to 2015. Her photographs are in both private and corporate collections.
Panellists will include:
- The Rt Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally, the Bishop of London
- Shaykh Yunus Dudhwala, Head of Chaplaincy, Barts Health NHS Trust
- Rabbi Shalom Morris, Bevis Marks Synagogue
