“Thank you very much for your recent support of the DEC Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal and apologies for the length of time it has taken me to send this letter to acknowledge your donation. We’ve had an overwhelming response to this appeal, and I am very happy to share with you that in total over £100 million has been raised.

With your support, 14 DEC charities and their local partners are responding to the disaster, working with locally-led relief efforts to provide medical treatment, shelter, winter survival kits and ensuring people have food and clean water. The needs in both Turkey and Syria are huge – the earthquakes lasted for minutes, but the aftermath will last for years. But with your support, DEC charities and their local partners can help people to rebuild their lives. Thank you.
