The Worshipful Company Of Constructors participate in the Annual Inter Livery Pancake Race at the Guildhall
The Annual Livery Pancake Race at the Guildhall is a popular event that many of London’s livery companies enjoy. This year, the Worshipful Company Of Constructors were proud to take part in the event and represent the construction industry. Master David Sheehan said “What a great occasion! The Worshipful Company of Constructors actively participating in the Annual Livery Pancake Race at the Guildhall. Even our Patron Saint Sir Christopher Wren made an appearance and ran for us!”
The event, hosted by Worshipful Company of Poulters, takes place in Guildhall Yard every Shrove Tuesday with members of the City’s Livery Companies alonside City of London Corporation Representatives and employees. As with all pancake races the team with the least number of pancakes lost is declared the winner. The winning team gets a commemorative frying pan, and the money raised is donated to the Lord Mayor’s Charity.
The team was delighted to finish the race and be part of this unique event. They praised the event organisers for creating such a great atmosphere and putting on a fantastic show.
