Constructors NewGen Group Tour Jack the Ripper’s Murder Sites

The Worshipful Company of Constructors NewGen Group were treated a tour of Jack the Ripper’s macabre murder sites last Thursday. The tour, which was originally scheduled to coincide with Haloween but was rescheduled due to rail strikes took place in Whitechapel and Spitalfields against the atmospheric backdrop of a misty December evening.

The tour, conducted by Jack the Ripper expert David Coleman, tracked each of the notorious serial killer’s victims and provided a potted history of the area as it existed in the Victorian period. In addition to learning the lurid and gruesome details of London’s most infamous son, Master David Sheehan gave new and prospective members a précis on the Livery and City of London.

The event concluded with an excellent curry on Brick Lane.  The Company hopes that the new and prospective Constructors who attended enjoyed the event and we look forward to getting to meeting them again in the future.
