Constructors Publish Climate Action Plan
The Constructors are proud to launch our Climate Action Plan inline with the LCAG goals and guidance. This publication is an important milestone on our journey to becoming a zero carbon Livery Company and is the result of a large amount of work by members of our Climate Action Committee .
The plan has the full support of the Master and is a clear statement that the Company fully understands the seriousness of the climate change threat and the reality that as constructors our skills are also key to providing solutions.
The plan articulates the Company’s objectives in relation to sustainability and sets out how those objectives will be achieved.
The aims and objectives are:
- To positively influence all WCC activity, and collaborate with other WCC Committees as required to address climate change and biodiversity loss
- To participate within the City of London Livery Climate Action Group in support of their Climate Action Strategy
- To engage Construction and Built Environment related Livery Companies with the overall aim of maximising sector influence in this area
