Heart of the City Climate Action Team
In the initial months of 2023, the Worshipful Company of Constructors became part of the Heart of the City “Climate Action Team.”
Rob Beales, serving as the Co-Chair of the Climate Action Committee, successfully completed the intensive 6-month “4 Steps to Action!” training course offered by Heart of the City, graduating in August 2023.
Subsequently, we have been actively assisting fellow members in crafting their individual action plans and providing mentorship to guide them on their climate-conscious journey.

Contribution at King Charles III’s Coronation
Adding a historic touch, the company contributed to the anointing screen at the King Charles III Coronation on May 6, 2023.
This symbolic act showcased the company’s versatility, seamlessly blending tradition with contemporary initiatives, and left an indelible mark on this regal occasion.

The Worshipful Company of Constructors are officially Net Zero Achievement!
May 2023 saw the Worshipful Company of Constructors becoming the first livery company to achieve Net Zero status.
Through its dedicated Climate Action Committee and comprehensive plans, the company planted 7,000 trees, removing 28 tonnes of CO2 annually.

City of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Membership
On October 8, 2023, the company proudly announced its membership in the City of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This collaboration represents a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to foster connections and collaborations within the ancient heart of the capital.
By joining this influential chamber, the Worshipful Company of Constructors aims to extend its impact and actively participate in the civic life of the square mile.
Float in the Lord Mayor’s Show
For only the second time in the history of the Company, on November 21, 2023, the Worshipful Company of Constructors had its own float in the Lord Mayor’s Show.
The event was a great success, with over 40 members and their families participating. The Master, Past Masters, Senior Warden, Wardens, Court Assistants, and even the beloved Bob the Builder made the day memorable, creating exposure for the company while enjoying the festivities.
Interlivery Tennis Tournament
Throughout the year, the Worshipful Company of Constructors engaged in various sporting events, including the Interlivery Tennis Tournament for the first time in 2023 at The Queen’s Club.
This followed previous involvements in activities such as the pancake race and inter-livery shooting, with plans to enter the barrel rolling contest in June in 2024.
This pivotal year bore witness to notable milestones and accomplishments, affirming the company’s unwavering dedication to tradition, community, and environmental stewardship.
