Court Luncheon
The Worshipful Company of Constructors was back in full force at Vintner’s Hall on July 1st for a luncheon that included the Master and a limited number of our members, as well as MP Nickie Aiken and our Alderman, the new Sheirff Elect, Alison Gowman.
We had a wonderful and heartfelt speech from the Master Constructor, Arthur Seymour, during which there was shared laughter and lifted spirits, as we were able to be together in person after hundreds of Zoom calls over these past 18 months.
Several Masters from other Liveries joined, including Professor Michael Farthing, Master Apothecary; Melissa Scott, Master Turner; Mark Holford, Master Information Technologist; Peter Huddleson, Master Painter Stainer and the Honorable James de Sausmarez, Master Joiner Ceiler.
The Company was delighted to welcome our two new liverymen, Joe Story and Martin Gettings at the Court meeting before the event began. We also welcomed two new Honorary members, Andrew Hastie and Sarah Hall, who are working hard to strengthen The Company’s brand and social media presence. We look forward to what our new members bring to The Worshipful Company of Constructors and are honoured to have you as a part of our livery.
Unfortunately, this event was obliged to have a reduced number of attendees due to COVID restrictions, so not all members were able to attend. In that regard, we have many upcoming events that may also be limited in seating, so please do keep an eye on your emails in order to RSVP before seats are sold out.
We look forward to welcoming you at our next event and thank you for your attendance.
