The purpose of all Livery Companies is to give financial aid to worthy causes as well as to supervise and regulate the practice of their skill. These aims are principally achieved by the Charity although the Company can sometimes make awards where the Charitable Trust cannot.  Each June, the Trustees make recommendations to the Charity Committee on who should receive funds.

Our ambitious goal to double our giving over the next three years means that we must increase our income.

Donations to the Charitable Trust can be Gift Aided so that we can reclaim basic rate of income tax which is a valuable bonus.

A member of the Company is expected to support this activity by making regular donations to the Trust. With so many causes that merit our support, we appreciate all contributions – large or small, regular or one-off.

Donating to the Trust

To make a regular donation to the Trust, please complete the on-line Standing Order Mandate available from your bank’s website and the Gift Aid form.
