INTRODUCTION
The Worshipful Company of Constructors Charitable Trust is the charitable arm of the Company. Whilst it is a separate legal entity, we work together to advance education and research in construction, and provide relief in times of hardship. In addition, we support the Lord Mayor and the City of London and the Armed Forces.
We support undergraduate scholarships and craft apprenticeships. We also respond to emerging challenges, and have donated – and continue to donate – to a number of COVID response initiatives.
OUR GOAL FOR 2024
Please Help
In 2021, the Charity made awards totalling £32k. We have an ambitious plan to increase our giving over the next three years to £50k. For this to happen, we must increase our income.
Please help us by donating. You can do so by –
- Single donation – a one-off donation boosts our charitable fund and allows us to respond more readily when a good cause is identified.
- Monthly donations – set up a Standing Order for a set sum each month. This method provides regular income to the fund and allows us to plan long-term.
Whichever way you choose to support us, when making a donation, please download and complete the Gift Aid form and email it to us.
The Sir Ian Dixon Scholarship has been a fantastic opportunity that has enabled me to develop research and presentation skills whilst learning more about the construction industry at this early point in my career. The main highlight of the scholarship has been accessing a network of people with expertise. My research revealed the importance of communication and the need to respect all workers in the construction industry. In 2021, I will pursue a Masters degree. The scholarship has provided an excellent foundation not only for future study but practice too. In both study and practice, I will utilise the skills learnt throughout this scholarship.
