Treason Trial and Error
The Master and Wardens have invited fellow Constructors and their guests for a drinks reception and performance including trials recaptured from Tom Grant QC’s new book “Court Number One, The Old Bailey, Trials that defined Modern Britain”
The performance has been devised by HH Peter Rook QC and is directed by Ellis Sareen. The musical Director is Colin Sell.
There is a star studded cast from the Bar, the Judiciary and the City and the proceeds of the performance will support the Sheriffs’ and Recorder’s Fund (which helps ex-offenders) and the PAN intercultural Arts (who help victims of Human Trafficking).
The performance is supported by the Criminal Bar Association.
The key programme details are:
- 6.00 pm – Arrival (there will be increased security so do allow plenty of time)
- 6.15 pm – Drinks Reception in the Great Hall
- 7.00 pm – Performance in Court Number 1
- 8.30 pm – Conclusion of performance
After the performance, those who wish will retire to a local hostelry for pay as you go drinks and/or dinner.
The tickets for this event are now all sold, and further applications cannot be accepted.
