Post Covid Company Reception to welcome New Liverymen and Members

Since March 2020 we have had 7 Freemen take Livery, 15 Freemen and one Yeoman join the Company.

Whilst all have been correctly received by Court in an amended but nevertheless appropriate manner, the Liverymen are yet to be clothed, to sign the Livery Book and to received their certificates.  The Freeman  also need to sign the Freedom Book and be presented with their certificates and the Yeoman to receive her certificate.

To ensure that all the above have an opportunity to receive their certificates and meet as many of the Company as possible Court has agreed that there will be a Court ceremony to Clothe the Liverymen, and Present the Freemen and the Yeoman with their certificates.

This will be followed by a Company reception in Carpenters Hall.  Where all new Liveryman, Freemen and the Yeoman will be hosted and introduced to as many of the Company as practicable.

The Reception will be free to all members of The Company.  Personal guests (possibly limited to spouses and partners tbc) will be permitted depending upon numbers and a fee (amount to be confirmed) will be payable for any guests.

Outline Timings:

Court Ceremony              22 April 2021  1700 – 1800

Reception                          22 April 2021  1830 –  2100

The Company will provide venue, reception finger food, soft drinks wine and beer.  Once the Company’s largess has run out the Caterers will operate a cash bar.

This should be a great opportunity for the Company to “Kick Start” a return to our fellowship in person and the Clerk encourages all members to “SAVE THE DATE”
